did you figure this out? I think you need to graph it, and watch the hi low spikes and the pentalope, the bump on the down curv, thats your pulse, if you dont have a pent on one cyl as the others, you know the injector is working. you would have a reading if it was a electrical issue. if your getting randm misfires and nit a misfire where the injector is bad, its oretty common to be more a electrical issue than an injector

Elon voids his warranty if an owner submerges their car. I believe there's a pressure relief vent valve on his batteries, which, if submerged, can allow water ingress into the battery ... which can lead to corrosion, shorts, etc. On a related note, the Australians have already implemented restrictions regards placement of lithium batteries for campers, etc., and those restrictions revolve around thermal runaway. Dust too over time, with moisture = corrosion. My $0.02 Thanks again for the content.

The GX does not need premium fuel, it’s just an old luxury car marketing ploy that every manufacturer does. Premium car get premium fuel. It does not actually need premium fuel.

@pdx650 Where have I spoken about wanting Direct Injection. I have not. Direction Injection has the highest atomization of gasoline engines which improves fuel burn, but at a huge compromise. Direct Injection cause fuel cylinder wash out that causes reduced cylinder lubrication. Dilutes the oil quickly that causes engine wear prematurely. And increases intake system carbonization to the detriment of fuel economy, emissions, and smoothness. Toyota has implemented the D4S system that adds port injection to fix the carbonization issue, but at the expense of worsening the other issues of Direct Injection. As of today the best fuel system with the least drawbacks is Port Fuel Injection. It is not perfect it does have its drawbacks, but nothing like the drawback of Direct Injection. Car manufacturing is driven by political forces that are biased to a voting block. It is sad to say this but unfortunately the future of automotive progress is driven by politics and not engineering technical progress. This will be the demise of Toyota as a long term reliable car company. The last true Toyota is the 2024 4Runner with driveline tech that goes back to the late 90s still sold in 2024. For those who know the progress of fuel injection, the 2024 4Runner 4.0 V6 uses Port Fuel Injection with a return style fuel system and a simple vacuum actuated fuel pressure regulator. That is 90s fuel injection tech. Still passes emissions and gets reasonable fuel economy. I get 25 MPG highway on my 4Runner when I don't drive like my hair is on fire. And that is why I bought a 2023 4Runner TRD off-road and a 2022 GX460 same tech in the GX just a V8. Blessings to all, the future is in our automotive voting hands.

Speaking of those little touches?? You know a person is enjoying themselves in the backcountry or overlanding when you see dust on the headrest area. I don’t own an overlander or even a 4WD as I use my 2WD Ram Laramie 3500 6.7 DRW for towing purposes only but I do admire all the extras that are added to a truck like this. ✌🏽😜🇺🇸🤘🏽

Is there anyway to get readings on tire pressures? My 2015 Honda Fit has a tire pressure warning light. Not sure what it is reading (tire relative rpm?) but knowing if there really is a problem and on which tire would be helpful.

Aussi here and have been using Stauns for 20+ yrs. These days I have 2 set at 30psi and 2 set at 20psi. This is a good base for dirt road and sand driving. Can only do 2 tyres at a time, and then use a gauge if lower pressures needed . A bit slower, but more versatile method to use the ever reliable Stauns.
